Bionic Buzz® got to cover Gatorland Orlando to learn about their new Florida Panther Kittens, new Croc-Rock Adventure and new capybara encounter. interview Danielle Lucas the Animal Care Director at Gatorland to learn about their new five-month-old Florida Panther siblings Yuma and Sakari. Adopted from a sanctuary in the northeastern U.S., the 20 lb., 1.5 ft. tall brother and sister now reside at Gatorland’s Panther Springs, a sprawling, all natural habitat complete with waterfall, stream and majestic tree structure featuring platforms and posts for playing and sunbathing.

Playful, curious and loving, Yuma and Sakari enjoy chasing each other, splashing in the water, wrestling and rolling around their boomer ball toys at Panther Springs. When full grown, they will weigh up to 150 lbs.

Next up was the new Croc Rock Adventure which is an interactive three-in-one experience where visitors climb, cross a bridge, and zipline in succession. The Croc Rock climbing wall is different from any other climbing activity in Florida due to its amazing replication of real rock. Artists mimicked local sandstone, carved natural hand holds, and gave the structure an incredibly natural appearance.

Next up we got to meet Jerry, Mochi, and Boba their resident Capybaras! You too can take part in this unique encounter at Flamingo Island where they swim, lay on the beach, and enjoy the company of waterfowl, turtles, and flamingoes. Capybara, native to South America, are a current internet obsession with over 116 million views on Tik Tok and Instagram, and Capybara appreciation sites rapidly growing in popularity.

The giant rodents are known for their friendly and social nature. Capybaras are the largest living rodents in the world! Native to South America, they tend to live in dense forests close to lakes, rivers, swamps, or other bodies of water. They are excellent swimmers and can hold their breath underwater for up to 5 minutes! And guess what, did we mention these guys are autocoprophagous? Well, come on out to meet these adorable rodents 😊 and learn what “autocoprophagous” means LOL!

Gatorland is a 110-acre theme park combining Old Florida charm with exciting experiences, exhibits, and entertainment.
