Bionic Buzz® covered the red carpet of the Alliance for Children’s Rights 33rd Annual Champions for Children at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. The Alliance for Children’s Rights hosted its signature annual gala, Champions for Children, which brought together the entertainment and legal industry’s most influential people to raise funds that support the Alliance’s work to provide legal advocacy and life-changing services for thousands of children and young adults in foster care.

Ally Walker, Actress, Writer, and Filmmaker, and John Landgraf, Chairman of FX, were honored with the 2025 Champions for Children Award. From TV dramas to big-screen performances to writer and director, Ally Walker remains a respected and influential figure in Hollywood, using her platform to tell compelling stories that resonate on both a personal and societal level. John Landgraf is known for cultivating bold, award-winning storytelling for FX, he is also responsible for original programming for National Geographic and Onyx Collective within Disney Entertainment Television.

Acclaimed actor, director, and producer Danny DeVito presented the honor to Walker and Landgraf. He is known for his extensive and iconic work in film and television, including roles in “Taxi,” “Matilda,” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”

The organization recognized the former U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California and now Partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, E. Martin Estrada, with the 2025 Francis M. Wheat Community Service Award. Estrada has repeatedly been recognized for his advocacy, having been named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the Top 100 Lawyers in California by the Daily Journal, and among the “Top Litigators in Los Angeles” and “Minority Leader of Influence,” and one of the “Most Influential Minority Lawyers in Los Angeles” by the Los Angeles Business Journal. Estrada has been deeply committed to pro bono work over his career. He has served as a board member for the Federal Bar Association, the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, and the Alliance for Children’s Rights, and was a member of the State Bar Judicial Nominations Evaluations Commission (JNE).
