Bionic Buzz® covered “Sue Wong’s Marrakesh Pallazo Party” in Los Feliz, California. Inspired and emboldened by the Moroccan fantasy that she had created at her home, The Cedars, Wong embarked on designing an entire 10,300 square-foot Moroccan palazzo in Los Feliz.

Sponsors included Spencer Daly’s SLYD wines, Christophe Namer’s Cardinal du Four Armagnac, food by Thach Namer of Elyse Restaurant, San Jose, and candles by Milena Popovic/Milena Los Angeles.

ABOUT PALAZZO MARRAKESH

4715 Los Feliz Blvd, Los Angeles, CA | $10,450,000 | Agents: Ernie Carswell, Kendra Wilkinson and Spencer Daley, Douglas Elliman Realty

Behind its gleaming golden gate, this exotic residence has been transformed by the skilled artistry of legendary fashion designer Sue Wong. Painstakingly brought from Morocco, the fortress is a visual voyage to an authentic lifestyle seen in Marrakesh, Fez or Casablanca — but rarely in Los Angeles. Enter gardens with tile fountains that lead to the grand main entry door bedecked in brass and surrounding by imported tilework rising 20 feet above you. Step inside to a soaring foyer where ceilings and archways reveal carved intricacy guiding you through this citadel. Hand-painted ceilings adorn the main living room while bespoke chandeliers reflect their Moorish origin. Over 10,000 sq ft of interior living space spreads out luxuriously. Bedrooms are all suites, most boasting large walk in closets. The Owner’s Suite is a series of four rooms – bedroom, lounge, bath and dressing room, all trimmed in crimson and gold. The custom-created furniture, light fixtures and draperies are included in the sale. Crafted or handpicked by the owner, they are one-of-a-kind and enrich the total experience. The entertaining room features a central bar and is partially two-stories which affords it the feeling of a ballroom – perfect for hundreds of guests.

The residence enwraps an inner courtyard with obsidian pool, bar, covered terrace and grilling area. Nearby is a carved wooden arbor offering shelter day or night. The property is truly street-to-street with a gated rear street entry, Katrina Lane, although the address is on Los Feliz Blvd. This provides extra security and privacy, plus ultimate convenience for owner and guests. There is nothing like this in Los Feliz or perhaps all of LA. Travel to a faraway land without leaving the city limits. Once you see it, you’ll want to rock this Casbah!
