Nathan Hardy on getting to be involved with the re-release of ‘Those Days Are Gone’ and his friends in Free Throw: “I befriended the Free Throw boys in 2015 shortly after they released ‘Those Days are Gone’. I’ve had the opportunity to hang out and play shows with them many times since then and I have many fond memories of the times we’ve spent together.”

Hardy also recalls his excitement at being asked to be a part of the re-recording of “What Day Is It, October?”: “I was elated when they hit me up about recording some vocals for a new iteration of “What Day Is It, October?”. The track bangs and is a good reminder that your lifestyle determines your death style.”

In December, Free Throw announced a headline tour in celebration of ‘Those Days Are Gone’ performing the record in full alongside fan favorites from their five – album catalog – melding these timeless songs with the band’s reputation for delivering raucous sing-along live shows. The tour kicks off on Friday, March 28 in Austin, TX with support from highly regarded up and coming bands Ben Quad and Harrison Gordon. On February 15, Free Throw will perform the album in full along with Microwave and Prawn who are also celebrating ten years of ‘Stovall’ and ‘Kingfisher’ and will perform those albums in their entirety, respectively.

“We didn’t quite know Those Days Are Gone was going to be as special as a lot of people consider it today, but we thought that we had something really good,” says Castro. There’s been so much that’s happened since we made the record, but in some ways, it still kind of feels like yesterday.”
