Vesper Public Relations, Los Angeles, April 2025. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, My Community Health Fair presents the 2025 DTLA Spring Health Fair on Saturday, May 17, at Lafayette Park.

Local health care organizations will come together to offer free vision, dental, pediatric, general medicine, and women’s health screenings as well as promote mental health awareness and provide healthcare education sessions and workshops. Many of these organizations will be utilizing mobile units that have state-of-the-art-technology to do complex health screenings such as ultrasounds to detect liver disease, cancer and many others diseases.

The mission of My Community Health Fair is to offer the community essential free health care screenings and education through organized events, such as the DTLA Spring Health Fair. Our goal is to help detect early health issues, refer patients to local healthcare facilities, and share valuable healthcare information.

The fair will focus on important topics such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle, understanding nutritional information, recognizing the early signs of health issues, and learning about available public services. These topics will be presented through stage presentations, one-on-one sessions, and group workshops. Several local organizations will be present to assist individuals in signing up for Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other public health services. Additionally, local healthcare providers will offer a variety of health screenings specifically for women, including mammograms.

Participating health organizations include L.A. Care, Altamed, USC Mobile Clinic, Vision to Learn, American Cancer Screening Initiative, Claris Health, AHA, AstraZeneca (Liver Scan), Queens Care, LADMH, Planned Parenthood, Blue Shield, and UCLA Student Medical organizations.

May is designated as Mental Health Awareness Month. This observance is intended to promote understanding of the significance of mental well-being, diminish stigma connected to mental health issues, and encourage support for those who are affected.
