
Filmed almost entirely on iPhones, this playful documentary follows 100 strangers from around Los Angeles as they come together to form adult dance teams for one recital. The dancers discover the incredible transformations that occur when they make time for joy and put on their dancing shoes.
Eryl Cochran – This was a labor of love for director, producer, writer, editor, ERYL COCHRAN who filmed nonstop for 60 days straight. Operating as a one-woman band 95% of the time, her purpose in making this documentary is to evoke joy, help people to believe in themselves, to unify and to show the beauty of dance. Dancers and choreographers from all over Los Angeles. Becky Bouchard – Is a retired bookkeeper and joined the dance team looking for a challenge at the age of 73. She is now 75 and showing off her dance skills whenever possible. Melissa Johnson – Melissa is married to Wesley Johnson who played for the LA Clippers. She’s a busy mom who was looking to do something for herself. Amy Stanton – Amy has received accolades and awards from the Sports Business Journal, Women in Sports and Events (WISE) LA, and BlogHer, and Stanton & Company has been recognized as an industry leader in health and wellness, women’s sports and female entrepreneurship and empowerment. Amy speaks about entrepreneurship and business, femininity, marketing and representation, women in sports, and women’s leadership. Wil-son Williams – choreographer for hip-hop and co-owner of LA Dance Fit (featured in the film). Wil grew up on the wrong side of the tracks in Philadelphia and it wasn’t easy being a ballerina. Diana Geiger and Wil-son Williams met in a Zumba class in 2008 and quickly became dance partners. They shared a love for dance and a mission to enlighten the lives of others through movement. In 2012, they decided to turn their passion into a business and founded LA Dancefit, the ultimate dance fitness experience. Fayad Garcia – is an extremely popular dance teacher and choreographer and specializes in salsa and hip-hop. She also teaches at LA Dance Fit. Max Kariuki – is a fitness trainer and runs marathons, born from mixed race parents, he has always suffered with his race identity. He first started dancing in his 40s and is part of the hip hop and pop group.And many others….
