Bionic Buzz’s own Steve Sievers had a wickedly good time watching Descendants: Wicked Wonderland with his two children.
The story follows Red and Chloe after their time-traveling adventures in the 2024 hit film Descendants: The Rise of Red. Set primarily in present-day Wonderland, the sequel explores the warning from the previous film: there are consequences when you alter the fabric of time. As the duo ventures deeper down the rabbit hole, the stakes continue to rise with plenty of fun twists and surprises along the way.
One of my favorite aspects of the Descendants franchise has always been its jaw-dropping production design, and Wicked Wonderland is no exception. The Wonderland sets are visually stunning, and I loved the rock ‘n’ roll-inspired twist on the classic Disney-inspired costumes.
Of course, my kids especially enjoyed the musical numbers, which are packed with catchy songs, energetic choreography, and colorful performances. The film also delivers plenty of laughs, balancing the adventure with humor that both kids and adults can enjoy. It’s a fun, entertaining family movie that Disney fans are sure to love.
