Bionic Buzz® covered the Press Conference to Announce Master Artists Lisa Schulte and Jiannan Huang Collaboration. Neon artist Lisa Schulte and LABA Blue-chip artist Jiannan Huang announced their collaboration at a press conference at Lisa Schulte’s Nights of Neon studio in Panarama City, California. The two artists will collaborate and work together to create a new art piece, a neon sculpture based on the bold and vibrant paintings by Jiannan Huang.

The two artists first met during a video conference at the Los Angeles Beverly Arts (LABA) Icon Awards last year. As master artists, they both look forward to embarking on this creative journey together. While the two artists have not yet met in person, they are communicating through interactive exchanges and video conference, as Huang is located in Beijing, China, and unable to travel right now. As Lisa Schulte previously communicated to Huang, “Your skillful brushwork, vibrant colors, and intricate textures will serve as the foundation for this sculpture, providing a solid and visually captivating base from which I can expand upon. Your artistic vision and mastery of painting techniques will bring depth and artistry to the sculpture, creating a harmonious interplay between the painted elements and the neon accents.”

At the press conference, Lisa Schulte welcomed the guests to her studio, and showed them her extensive collection of neon art work. Lisa Schulte is an American artist, also known as “The Neon Queen”, who is best known for her work in expressive neon sculpture. Her work is exhibited at galleries and museums internationally. Schulte started bending neon in the early 1980s, creating custom neon signs and neon prop rentals to the entertainment industry under her Los Angeles-based neon studio, Nights of Neon. In addition to making her own art, Schulte produces custom designs and signage for clients that have included: Showtime, The WB, 20th Century Fox, Paramount, ABC, Nike, CBS, Chanel, Calvin Klein, Gucci, HBO, Hulu, Netflix, YSL, KARMA Automotive, & NBC.
