The voting session kicked off at 10:00am in the Board Room of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. On behalf of LABA-MIMV, Princess Karen Cantrell, the rotating chairman of the LABA International Arts Festival, presented the agenda and the guidelines for the secret ballot voting. The criteria for artist selection was read by attorney Jesse Weiner, managing partner at YK Law LLP, and then the ballots were distributed to the judges.

The voting was very close between artists, resulting in two ties – a tie for 7th place and a tie of 10th place. LABA Blue-chip artist, Jiannan Huang, received the most votes from all the judges, and was joined in for interviews via video conference from his art studio in Beijing, China.

The awards ceremony will be held in the near future, according to Joey Zhou, the founder and chairman of LABA. It has been two years since the LABA International Arts Festival held its kickoff at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on October 28th, 2020. We continue to move forward and strive to discover and bless the future of the most influential and valuable artists in the world.
