Got to try on an amazing VR backpack made by HP. This is an incredibly powerful computer that is power by two external batteries. The computer was very light and stayed completely cool, despite its incredible power. Scott from the HP booth allowed me to play a little trial game and was nice enough to talk to me about this amazing VR gear.

After waiting in a small line, William and I got to watch “Melita”, a twenty minute short animated film about a robotic girl and a scientist who are working together to ensure the human races’ continuing existence. These pods are called ‘Voyagers’, they turn you around and can tilt forwards and backwards providing you an extremely immersive VR experience. These comfortable chairs may just be the new trend in movie theaters across the world.

Had some great food that was provided by VR on the lot. Throughout the event they had tea, lemonade, and water available to anyone an at lunch time they even provided salads, sandwiches, and brownies. The tent provided a comfortable place to sit down and eat without being in the sun. All of this great food was provided free of cost by the event.

This was an interesting VR experience where you get to watch an animated pit crew got to work on a F1 racer. Instead of a headset, you wear special glasses that track your head position and allows you to have an interesting yet less immersive VR experience.Dark Corner had a great booth on the lot. Dark Corner specializes in making horror and thriller films in VR. While the chair and VR headset were great, Dark corner only made the film itself. VR is the future of horror and thriller films. This short preview was terrifying!

Had a great time at VR on the lot. This is the premiere event for VR and AR technology. I was able to see and try out cutting edge new VR gear. By Kevin Bethell
