The 2nd annual Queen Mary’s Queensway 5K invites SoCal to walk, run, and jog for a cause on Thursday, March 28, 2019, with the 5K race starting at 5:30 p.m. The family-friendly course begins and ends at the Queen Mary Events Park and offers picturesque views of the Long Beach city skyline and harbor. This year, a portion of the Queensway 5K proceeds will go to the Long Beach Rescue Mission and the Assistance League of Long Beach.

DETAILS:

  • Athlete Check-In and On-Site Race Registration: Walk up / on-site registration is available from 3 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Pre-registered athletes may begin checking in at 3:00 p.m. on the day of the race.

  • Event Start: Kicking off at 4 p.m. join in on the pre-run fun and prep for the race with music and organized stretches.

  • Race Time: The 5K run will begin at 5:30 p.m. All participants are expected to be finished by 6:45 p.m. Along the 3.1-mile course, participants will see Queen Mary icons as they walk, run, or jog along the race course.

  • Activations: Experience a year of Queen Mary’s top signature events with characters and themed photo opportunities, including Their Finest Hours exhibit featuring Winston Churchill, Queen Mary Christmas’s beloved Singing Baker and Elf, Dark Harbor’s infamous sliders, and more!

  • Finish Line Celebration: Finish off a picture-perfect run with music, a speech by the Queen Mary’s Commodore Everette, a beer garden, and decadent tastes from Queen Mary restaurants including the Chelsea Chowder House & Bar and Sir Winston’s Restaurant and Lounge.

CHARITY:

A portion of the Queensway 5K proceeds benefit two Long Beach Charities: the Long Beach Rescue Mission to provide funding for the services needed to help individuals overcome the homeless cycle and achieve long term goals, along with the Assistance League of Long Beach to support community programs provided for children in need such as Operation School Bell® and the Orthodontic Program.
