Bionic Buzz® covered Todd Hunter ‘s album release party of “Postcards From Brazil, Volume 2” at Urban Press Winery in Burbank, CA. Todd was joined on stage by music legend Dionne Warwick where they performed the song “New Beginning” from the new album. Dionne also performed a few of her songs as including her hit “What the World Needs Now.” Warwick was Hunter’s former mentor and boss. Also a special donation will be made to the Dionne Warwick Institute (in South Orange New Jersey) as a gesture to kick off the school year.

Todd Hunter

Hailing from San Diego, California, Todd Hunter has delighted audiences throughout the world for over three decades. Having grown up in a musical household, Todd has been immersed in the language of jazz piano since he was a child. Midway through college at San Diego State University, he took off for New York and wove himself into the fabric of the world’s best jazz scene. During his time in NY he had the pleasure of playing with and learning from the best of the best including: Joe Henderson, Tommy Flanagan and Mel Lewis among others. Eventually, Todd found his way back to Southern California and has been exploring musical adventures throughout the coast and around the world since.

Hunter also tours internationally with the legendary singer, Dionne Warwick. He’s had the pleasure of accompanying her, Natalie Cole and Whitney Houston. Todd has also been featured with the Brian Setzer Orchestra and has shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, Jeffrey Osborne, Gladys Knight, Ivan Lins, Gloria Estefan and Smokey Robinson. In the jazz world, Hunter has performed with some of the best legends of our time including: Nancy Wilson, Billy Higgins, Kenny Burrell, Buddy Collette, Les McCann, Diane Reeves, Ndugu Chancler, Phil Upchurch, Barbara Morrison and Ronny Laws.

Dionne Warwick

Warwick ranks among the 40 biggest U.S. hit makers between 1955 and 1999, based on her chart history on Billboard’s Hot 100 pop singles chart. She is the second-most charted female vocalist during the rock era (1955–1999). She is also one of the most-charted vocalists of all time, with 56 of her singles making the Hot 100 between 1962 and 1998 (12 of them Top Ten), and 80 singles in total – either solo or collaboratively – making the Hot 100, R&B, or adult contemporary charts.[2][3] Warwick ranks number 74 on the Billboard Hot 100’s “Greatest Artists of all time”. During her career, Warwick has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and she has won many awards, including six Grammy Awards. Warwick has been inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Grammy Hall of Fame, the R&B Music Hall of Fame, and the Apollo Theater Walk of Fame. In 2019, she won the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Three of her songs (“Walk On By”, “Alfie”, and “Don’t Make Me Over”) have been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. She is a former Goodwill Ambassador for the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization.
