Bionic Buzz attended the opening night of the 2016 Burbank International Film Festival. The film festival is truly international as the opening screening was the film The Wave from Norway. The Wave was actually a great natural disaster film. If you are a fan of films like Earthquake or San Andreas then you will like it a lot. You do have to read the subtitles. Watch it now on Netflix. Before the film, the festival Opening Night Gala was hosted by NBC 4 weatherman Fritz Coleman. The opening remarks were from Burbank Mayor Jess Talamantes with a special award honoring director Garry Marshall that was presented to the Marshall family. The “Garry Marshall Spirit Award” will be a continuing tribute to Garry’s life and legacy and will be presented to a different recipient every year forward in the film festival.
