Bionic Buzz® got to cover HeartSupport Fest at the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando.This two day festival featured two stages with performances by Rise Against, Parkway Drive, The Ghost Inside, Dance Gavin Dance, Spirit Box, August Burns Red, Silverstein, Memphis May Fire, The Devil Wears Prada, Hawthorne Heights, Comeback Kid, The Word Alive, Bleed From Within, Harms Way, ’68, He Is Legend, Bloodlines, Underoath, Four Year Strong, and more.

The festival was launched by the non-profit HeartSupport foundation which was started by Two-time Grammy nominated singer Jake Luhrs of Lancaster metal band August Burns Red. By creating relevant recovery and support for an online generation, HeartSupport has been recognized as a leader in the industry winning non-profit of the year at the APMAs in 2016 and named as one of the Top 100 Socially Innovative Non-Profits in the World in 2017.

They believe no one should struggle alone and aim to create a world where music fans find the encouragement, support, and products they need to take their next steps without fear, shame, or judgment.

At the festival we got to interview Garrett Braukman who is an addiction professional, exec director of ALTA Centers and is on the board the The Kyle Pavone Foundation. The Foundation hopes to enrich the memory of Kyle Pavone by providing education, awareness, and compassion to those suffering from addiction, and their families.
