VidCon 2017 is going on this week. A busy summer of conventions but VidCon stands out as one of the best. Their showroom floor has plenty of interactive booths, photos ops, VR and more. Of course the Con is famous for their random YouTube star meet & greets. Seriously even if you don’t know who the person is it is fun to watch crowds of people chase them like Beatlemania. Plenty of photos from the con below.

One of my favorite things was their Industry Seminars. VidCon 2017 Industry Track brought back their popular seminar series. They expanded the “Innovation Showcase,” where top production studios and creative companies got an opportunity to share their latest projects and talk about what’s in store for the future. Everything from VR to new content and buying behavior of online video consumers.

As someone who is passionate about VR, VidCon had some great virtual reality experiences. SweetTARTs had their own VR game where you got to toss their famous candy. The game was a lot of fun and the highest score each day got prizes. M&M had their own VR art experience. It started where you are in this art gallery where an artist is talking about his paintings. All the colors in the paintings were inspired by M&M colors. He leaves the room then suddenly the paintings start to come to life to surround you. At the Nickelodeon booth I got to try Slime VR. It was a multiplayer game where you got to chose your avatar as one of Nick’s characters. From Invader Zim’s Gir to TMNT to Shimmer & Shine. Then you enter an arena where you got to slime the other players for points.

If you prefer real slime to VR slime you were in luck. As you can tell in the picture in you could sign up to get slimed! You can watch the full video on our twitter page here. Make sure to follow us while you are there.

One of the most popular booths was Taco Bell’s. There you got to create your own drink. Think of it as a fancy 7-11 Slurpee. Pick your toppings and get one crazy sugar high. The drink will be coming to Taco Bell’s later this year. VidCon get to help pick what it will look like with feed back.

At Hot-wheels booth you got to race and keep one of their cars. You can watch our Instagram video of their booth and make sure to follow Bionic Buzz ® while you are there. Check out more photos below from VidCon 2017. I’m already looking forward to next year’s convention. By @SteveSievers
