Bionic Buzz attended Capsaicin Siggraph at the Hilton next door to the Anaheim Convention center. Think of it a panel / after party for Siggraph 2016.  Capsaicin Siggraph featured reveal new, industry changing graphics technologies and showed new partnerships that will shape the CG community and to the rest of the World for years to come. The event starting with a presentation featuring high-profile guest speakers that presented future insights and technologies. We have two videos from some of those speakers. Afterwards featuring drinks & hors d’oeuvres upstairs on the outside patio of the hotel. There was open bar, free food, DJ, Photo Booth, & VR including a race simulator. Simcraft brought out their VR Racing Simulator at Capsaicin Siggraph 2016. Here is a video of me trying it out. It was pretty awesome!

VR is not just for video games and entertainment. Dr. Skip Rizzo joined the stage at Capsaicin Siggraph. He is the director of Medical Virtual Reality, ICT Research, Professor. Dept of Psychiatry at University of Southern California. He talked about how VR is being used for veterans suffering from PTSD. You can watch the full speech here.
