Bionic Buzz® interview award-winning filmmaker/director Adam Schomer over Zoom. We talked about his documentary series “SELLING SUPERMAN.” The series is about how Darren Watts’ life changed when he uncovered a 40-year-old secret: his father, who had Asperger’s (ASD), had obsessively amassed over 300,000 comic books, including a rare Superman #1 valued at over $3.5 million. While extraordinary, this collection took a heavy toll, fracturing family relationships and leaving deep emotional scars. After his father’s passing, Darren faces a complex crossroads – he holds the key to a comic book treasure but must also confront the painful legacy left behind. Joined by his friend Brian, Darren embarks on the journey of selling the collection, balancing the adventure of letting go of the weight of his past.
