Bionic Buzz® got to interview Rendever co-founder and CEO Kyle Rand for CES 2021. Rendever, a virtual reality platform built to help seniors overcome social isolation, will be exhibiting its platform at CES 2021. Through Rendever, seniors share synchronous VR experiences to maintain social connection, giving them a chance to share in the laughter, joy and adventures they’re seeing through their headsets. Family members can also upload personal photos, videos, and 360° footage of events to share with their loved ones, which creates a feeling of unity no matter the distance.
Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 50% of senior living residents experience depression or isolation during their stay, making loneliness among seniors a modern mental health epidemic. This is what the Rendever team is working to solve through VR.
