Bionic Buzz® had the pleasure of covering media day at LEGOLAND Florida, where the park hosted a special presentation revealing the name of its brand-new roller coaster set to open in 2026. Prepare for liftoff! LEGOLAND® Florida Resort announced that its all-new space-themed indoor coaster will be called “Galacticoaster” and is officially blasting off in early 2026. Over three years in the making, this intergalactic experience is the most ambitious and technically advanced ride ever built at any LEGOLAND Resort.
Today, the Resort gave fans a first look at the final track arrival and installation of this highly anticipated attraction. At more than 30,000 square feet and towering over 50 feet high, the ride represents an incredible feat of design and engineering, combining the creative imagination of LEGO® play with LEGOLAND Florida’s family-first approach to fun – giving guests an out-of-this-world cosmic adventure.
“Galacticoaster marks the first indoor coaster built inside the main park since LEGOLAND Florida opened in 2011. From the very beginning, we aimed to create an immersive experience for our guests from the moment they step inside,” said Blake Boyter, Senior Project Manager at Merlin Magic Making. “From the engineering precision to the LEGO DNA woven throughout, guests will experience more LEGO storytelling, more excitement, and more out-of-this-world fun than ever before.”
Mission Stats:
- Galacticoaster’s indoor building footprint is equal to 10 basketball courts
- Under construction for 12+ months, with more than 500 crew members from around the world
- Foundation required a single monolithic concrete pour using 400+ trucks over 13 hours
- 48 track sections supported by 120 columns
- Station conveyor belt weighs 18,000 pounds
- Nearly 1,500 feet of track reaching heights of 50 feet
- More than 110,000 hours of on-site work from engineers, designers, and builders to bring this project to life – that would take 53 years for one person working a 40 hour week!
Set to open in early 2026, Galacticoaster invites families to board their own LEGO spacecraft and journey through an interstellar adventure, blending high-speed coaster thrills with imaginative storytelling and cosmic-scale fun.

Bionic Buzz®’s own Steve Sievers had an absolutely amazing time experiencing Brick-or-Treat at LEGOLAND Florida with his kids! This annual Halloween event transforms the park into a brick-built wonderland of spooky fun, offering the perfect balance of thrills, treats, and family-friendly entertainment. From the moment Steve and his kids entered the park, they were greeted with colorful Halloween LEGO décor, festive music, and costumed characters ready for photos.
The kids loved collecting candy and posing with their favorite LEGO characters in Halloween costumes, while the live entertainment kept everyone smiling all night long. The Brick-or-Treat Drone Show lit up the sky and was the perfect finale, leaving both kids and parents in awe.
The highlight for the little ones was, of course, the trick-or-treating trails, where kids could collect sweets and goodies while exploring themed zones filled with interactive fun.
Beyond the candy, Brick-or-Treat offers unique live entertainment, including Halloween-themed shows and performances that had Steve’s kids laughing, dancing, and joining in the fun. Special character meet & greets with LEGO monsters and minifigures added another layer of magic, making the day feel extra special.
Another highlight was the exclusive food and beverage specials created just for Brick-or-Treat. From spooky-themed treats and savory bites to colorful drinks, every snack added to the festive atmosphere and made the event feel extra special.
LEGOLAND struck the perfect balance of Halloween thrills, family-friendly fun, and tasty seasonal bites — making it an event Steve and his family can’t wait to return to again next year.
