Programs Include Blindspot, How I Met Your Mother, Westworld, Central Park, and a Conversation with Aryeh Bourkoff and Adriana Cisneros

Paley Education@Home Focuses on Asian American Heritage

WHAT: The Paley Center for Media today announced a new schedule of weekly offerings for Paley@Home Presented by Citi, a curated collection of programming of acclaimed Paley Center events. These programs will screen for free starting on Tuesday, May 26, on the Paley Center’s YouTube channel.        

Paley Education@Home supports teachers and students with online classes, weekly Zoom room meetups every Thursday at 3:30 pm EST, and a weekly Education and Media Resource Guide featuring recommendations, best practices, and resources related to the study of media, and television that is accessible for remote education.

Paley Presents (new shows released Tuesdays at 10:00 am EST): This series features programs with the cast and creators of some the most popular and critically acclaimed television shows currently on air.

  • Tuesday, May 26: PaleyLive NY: Blindspot: The creator and acclaimed cast discuss their popular suspense series during its first season. Creator Martin Gero talks about the reaction of the pilot at NBC, while cast members explore what attracted them to the intriguing project.Paley Family Comedy Block (new shows released Wednesdays at 10:00 am EST): The Paley Center celebrates television’s best loved comedies that the whole family can enjoy.
  • Wednesday, May 27: PaleyFest LA: How I Met Your Mother: During the first season of their nine-year run, the creators and cast of the sitcom talk about its unusual nonlinear structure and the benefit of finding laughs during the editing process, thereby dispensing with a live audience; and how the fans are so anxious to find out who “mother” will turn out to be.The Paley Report (new shows released Thursdays at 10:00 am EST): Conversations with the most influential thought leaders include CEOs in media, tech, finance, and entertainment.
  • Thursday, May 28: Paley Media Council: Investing in the Future: A Conversation with Adriana Cisneros and Aryeh Bourkoff :From the 2019 Paley Media Council archive, an illuminating conversation between longtime media and finance collaboratorsAdriana Cisneros, CEO of Cisneros, and Aryeh Bourkoff, the Founder and CEO of investment and merchant bank LionTree. They will discuss some of the groundbreaking projects they are focused on, the role of leadership, and their commitment to innovation.Paley Date Night (new shows released Fridays at 8:00 pm EST): The Paley Center presents discussions featuring television shows that highlight love and relationships.
  • Friday, May 29: Paley Front Row:HBO’s Westworld: A Conversation with the Stars and Creators with Bonus Footage: Over the course of three seasons, the universe of Westworld has expanded from a simulated amusement park to a futuristic Los Angeles in the 2050s where questions of free will and revaluation abound. The cast and creative team will come together to discuss the series including: Evan Rachel Wood (Dolores Abernathy); Thandie Newton (Maeve Millay); Jeffrey Wright(Bernard Lowe); Tessa Thompson (Charlotte Hale); Ed Harris (Man in Black/William); Jonathan Nolan, Executive Producer/Creator; Lisa Joy, Executive Producer/Creator; and Denise Thé, Executive Producer. The conversation is moderated by Josh Wigler of The Hollywood Reporter.

Paley Front Row: A series of new, original programming with the stars of current shows discussing their work, offering insights and anecdotes.

  • Friday, May 29 (starting at noon EST): Apple’s Central Park: A Conversation with the Stars and Creative Team: Premiering Friday, May 29 on Apple TV+, Central Park is a new animated musical comedy about the Tillermans, a family that lives in Central Park. Owen, the park manager, and Paige, his journalist wife, raise their kids Molly and Cole in the world’s most famous park, while fending off hotel heiress Bitsy Brandenham and her long suffering assistant Helen, who would love nothing more than to turn the park into condos. The all-star panel includes: Kristen Bell “Molly”, Daveed Diggs “Helen”, Kathryn Hahn “Paige”, Leslie Odom, Jr. “Owen”, Loren Bouchard (Executive Producer/Co-Creator), Josh Gad (Executive Producer/ Co-Creator/“Birdie”), Nora Smith (Executive Producer/Co-Creator), Sanjay Shah (Executive Producer), andHalsted Sullivan (Executive Producer).
