Univision announced the premiere date for Despierta América en Domingo, a Sunday edition of its flagship morning show Despierta América, now in its 34th year. The new show premieres on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 8 a.m. ET on Univision. Award-winning journalist Jackie Guerrido joins Maria Antonieta Collins, Raul Gonzalez and Carolina Rosario as the show’s news anchor.
“For me this is sort of a homecoming. To return to Despierta America means to be back in touch with one of our greatest audiences. It is an honor for me to co-host with such veteran journalists. We will give our all to make Despierta America en Domingo the Sunday television destination for millions of Latino families” said Guerrido from Miami.

With the new Despierta América on Sundays, we are strengthening our weekend programming by bringing Hispanic America’s favorite morning show Despierta América to Sundays.
