  • From Executive Producer Sylvester Stallone, The Comeback is an immersive, cinematic documentary podcast series about meteoric success, devastating falls, and inspirational comebacks — all told by the people who lived them. The new 10-part podcast series debuts November 10th on all major podcast platforms and the Imperative Entertainment Premium Channel on Apple Podcast Subscriptions.
  • The Comeback features Sylvester Stallone, is presented by Imperative Entertainment, and is created, written, and edited by Giles Andrew and Elliott Watson of Honora Productions. Executive Producers are Sylvester Stallone and Braden Aftergood of Balboa Productions, Jason Hoch of Imperative Entertainment, and Trevor Groth of 30WEST. The Comeback is Produced by Honora & Balboa Productions, in association with 30WEST.
  • New episodes of The Comeback will spotlight the following inspirational individuals and their incredible stories:
    • Gerald Ratner – In Thatcher’s 1980s Britain, money means power. Greed-is-good exuberance runs rampant, and Gerald Ratner, the CEO of the world’s biggest jewelry chain, is bringing bling to the masses. But an ill-timed joke sent his business crumbling and his life into disrepair. How did he pick himself back up after a national media takedown?
    • Maya Gabeira – The Billie Jean King of Big Wave Surfing. The Brazilian nearly died when she was hunted down and pummeled by the 100-foot waves of Nazaré. Not only did she find the courage to get back on her board, but she also went on to win multiple World Championships while smashing the glass ceiling in her sport. “It’s as fast as you ski down a mountain, but imagine an avalanche chasing you and then imagine not running away from it, staying as close as possible to it the whole time.”
    • TOKiMONSTA – What happens when you lose the one thing that makes you tick? Set between LA’s underground electronic beat scene and music festivals the world over, this episode follows the harrowing journey of Music Producer Jennifer Lee pka TOKiMONSTA. The worst part of recovering from two brain surgeries was not the loss of speaking or walking abilities — it was that Lee could no longer understand, let alone make, music. After rigorous rehabilitation, she went on to become a Grammy-nominated artist.
    • Ezekiel Mitchell – Professional Bull Riding: The world’s most dangerous sport. Unlike his competitors, Zeke learned how to ride bulls from YouTube videos at the age of 16. And he was good — so good that he went pro to support his family. Then Hurricane Harvey hit, and his mom’s home was decimated. Now he’s climbing his way back to the top of this vicious sport and is on track to become the first black bull rider to win a world title in decades.
    • Matt LongThe New York City Firefighter and entrepreneur was living the life of Riley—until the day he got crushed by a 20-ton bus. Though the once-unstoppable firefighter and Ironman suffered horrific injuries, he somehow survived. Then he had to do something even harder: learn to live again.
    • Euodias “I could have been a K-pop idol but I’m glad I quit.” Euodias was one of the few British hopefuls to have experienced the challenging life of a K-pop trainee. Fame costs and Euodias paid the price.
    • Darren McCarty – One of the NHL’s fiercest enforcers with four Stanley Cups to his name, McCarty had to fight his way into the NHL. But perhaps his most significant fight has been battling his demons off the ice.
    • Danelle Ballengee – They say a dog is man’s best friend, but what about man’s best shot at survival? World champion adventure racer Danelle Ballengee was always up for a challenge. But when she found herself severely injured and stranded in the Moab desert for three days, she prepared to give up. Fortunately, she brought a friend along — her dog Taz.
    • Dave Dahl – Cooking Meth, jockey-boxing, and armed robbery. Dahl was a self-confessed bad guy, and after 20 years in and out of prison, it was hard to see how he could forge a way out to founding the biggest organic bread company in the world (told over two parts).
