
Salsa Superstar Flaco Navaja has released his new single Cántale A La Vida (Sing a Song to Life), produced during Covid19. The Puerto Rican musician who is an ensemble member of Pregones Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, is evocative of the golden age of The Fania All Stars, a musical group formed in 1968 as a showcase for the musicians on Fania Records, the leading salsa music label of all time.
About the new single Navaja said: “This is a 100% independent pandemic production, a testament to the beauty of life, the resilience of the human spirit and the power of “un pueblo unido”.

Born and raised in The Bronx, Flaco Navaja is a singer, poet and actor. His music combines salsa and spoken word. He has a way with words that is second only to his way with a song. An equally passionate performer in English and Spanish, he is an ensemble member of Pregones Theater, where he premiered Evolution of A Sonero in 2019 to critical acclaim.

He as a fixture of the Nuyorican Poets Café and star of HBO’s Def Poetry Jam.Film & TV credits include Pride & Glory, Fighting, Gun Hill Road, Law & Order, CSI NY andEastwilly B among others, Cántale A La Vida was written by Flaco Navaja and Latin Grammy® winner Obie Bermudez, The track was and arranged by Oscar Hernandez winner of both American and Latin Grammys.
