Bionic Buzz® got to interview Leland Grant who is a Nashville based producer, singer, songwriter, musician and performer. After graduating from Old Dominion University with a music business degree, Grant landed a major acting role in Los Angeles where he lived for five years prior moving to Nashville.

Upon his arrival in Nashville, Grant immediately embraced the work ethic and culture of Music City and spent over a decade learning from and working with the world’s best musicians, songwriters, singers and performers at state-of-the-art studios and on major stages. He has appeared on NBC’s The Voice and The Tonight Show and has been in a number of bands and toured everywhere from Holland to Hong Kong and extensively in the U.S. Grant’s experience as an artist has given him the unique ability as a producer to sonically connect to what resonates with an artist and to what resonates with an audience.

Grant has seen his production work reach Billboard Top 40 (Sparks The Rescue, Joshua Scott Jones) and written songs for Hollywood Records artist Mitchel Musso (Hannah Montana.) Grant has also been on several notable records as a musician or performer including recording banjo on Dan & Shay’s “These Days (feat. Lindsey Sterling).”

Today, Grant works out of his newly renovated studio, South Light Sound, a full production facility that has the capability to track anything from a solo singer-songwriter to a 7 piece live band.  Much of this work has come to fruition with Grant garnering nearly 50 major label and indie cuts.

In addition to producing and writing, Grant created an app, Nashville Numbers, that has garnered national success. The app enables musicians to easily chart their songs using the universally applicable Nashville number system.

Aside from producing Rachel Bradshaw’s upcoming EP, Grant has also co-written and recorded a Christmas song (with Rachel and Stephony Smith,) that is performed by Rachel and Terry Bradshaw that will be released on November 12th and will debut on the “Bradshaw Bunch” show on December 8th.  Grant’s debut solo record (co-produced with Grammy winning Ryan Hewitt and Grammy nominated Stephony Smith) is available now on all digital outlets.
