This Friday, 8.29 the Maryland emo/indie quartet Have Mercy is set to release their sixth studio album the loneliest place i’ve ever been via Rude Records. With the release, they will also be putting out a brand new music video for the focus track “little pieces” which takes fans on a journey of life on the road with the band.
Frontman Brian Swindle is returning with renewed clarity and a hard-earned sense of self, marking five years of sobriety and reflecting on the emotional highs and lows that have shaped both his life and his songwriting. This is a deeply personal album, and perhaps Have Mercy’s most raw, honest work to date.
Previously recognized by Brooklyn Vegan, FLOOD, The Noise, and many more, Have Mercy is back and better than ever on this new LP. Driven by their signature blend of vulnerability and intense melodies, this new record is for fans of emotionally charged alt-rock and timeless songwriting. It’s a collection of songs to play when the night feels too quiet. The album was produced by Brian Swindle, mixed by Paul Leavitt, and mastered by Nick Townsend. Creative direction and album art were handled by Benjamin Lieber (member of bands like Head North and Marigold), who has recently worked with bands such as Mayday Parade and Four Year Strong.
