As Big Picture Media charges through its 18th year, Founder and CEO Dayna Ghiraldi-Travers is thrilled to announce the promotion of Natalie Schaffer to Vice President and Becky Kovach to Director of Publicity. These well-deserved promotions highlight the agency’s ongoing commitment to nurturing talent and championing women in the entertainment industry.
Founded in 2007 by Ghiraldi-Travers, Big Picture Media was born from a vision of providing unwavering dedication to clients across all areas of publicity. Today, that core mission remains the heartbeat of the company, which boasts an all-female team of powerhouse publicists continuing to redefine the boutique agency model.
“Promoting Natalie and Becky has been such a full-circle moment for the company. Watching them evolve into the leaders they are today has been so inspiring. They each bring something incredibly unique to Big Picture Media—Natalie is outgoing and full of energy, with a contagious enthusiasm that lights up any room. Becky is calm and focused, with an organized approach that grounds our team and keeps things moving efficiently. With a shared love for international travel, Natalie has taken BPM to Ireland, Italy and London and has worked with a multitude of Japanese artists like Haru Nemuri, HEY SMITH and MIYAVI, and Becky has taken BPM to Scotland and together, both will head to Canada later this year to speak on panels representing the U.S. media landscape. Together, they strike the perfect balance and are both widely respected in the industry for their outstanding achievements and individual contributions. As we celebrate 18 years of BPM, I truly believe our future has never looked brighter” – shares Ghiraldi-Travers.
Leading the New York City office, Schaffer has been a vital part of Big Picture Media since 2013. A California native, she began her tenure at BPM in the original Los Angeles office before relocating to New York City in 2015 as the agency unified its staff under one roof. Schaffer brings a wide-ranging background to the Vice President role, having worked with non-profits, music festivals, authors, films, and fashion brands. She began her career in marketing at Hopeless Records—now a long-time BPM client—and has since led campaigns for KANSAS, Moby’s Punk Rock Vegan Movie, The Mars Volta, Bullet For My Valentine, Sydney Sprague, Hot Mulligan, AWOLNATION, Say Anything, and many more.
Outside of music, Schaffer’s notable campaigns include The Hard Times and theatrical re-releases of Halloween and Wayne’s World. Her passion for storytelling and sharp instincts continue to be a driving force behind BPM’s success. Most recently Natalie has ventured into the literary event space spearheading the publicity for The Boston Book Festival and into the food and beverage industry, landing her client The Lineup with press looks from The New Yorker, Brooklyn Magazine, Time Out New York, Eater and more.
“I’m incredibly excited to step into this new role as Vice President at Big Picture Media,” says Schaffer. “After over a decade with the company, I’m proud of how far we’ve come and energized about where we’re headed. While music will always be my first love, I’m passionate about expanding into new areas of PR—events, tech, hospitality, food and beverage, hotels, Broadway, influencers, books, and beyond. I love what I do, I love my team, and I believe deeply in this company. I can’t wait to help us continue to grow, evolve, and thrive.”
Becky Kovach, who has been with BPM since 2014, steps into the role of Director of Publicity. Kovach has been a cornerstone of the agency for over a decade, successfully running BPM’s competitive internship program while leading press campaigns for artists like Winona Fighter, LS Dunes, Lilith Czar, American Authors, Bayside, Switchfoot, Simple Plan, Midtown, Cartel, Slothrust, Taking Back Sunday, Silverstein, Heart Attack Man, Slaughter To Prevail and more. In addition to her client work, Kovach leads the agency’s philanthropic initiatives, including BPM’s “Non-Profit of the Month” social spotlight and internal donation drives. She also curates the agency’s popular New Music Friday Spotify playlist feature. From 2024-2025 she landed her clients over 5 national magazine covers, multiple national morning news performances, and press coverage with leading publications including Rolling Stone, SPIN, Billboard, Consequence, Guitar World, Stereogum, The AV Club, ET Online, UPROXX, Brooklyn Vegan, and more.
“I feel so honored to follow in Natalie’s footsteps as Big Picture Media’s new Director of Publicity,” Kovach shares. “Over the past decade I have learned so much from her and Dayna about what it takes to be a good publicist: dedication, creativity, and, above all, passion. Even as an intern it was clear to me that Big Picture Media cares deeply about the clients. I’m excited to continue delivering that same level of commitment within this new role, as well as sharing all that I’ve learned with the next generation of industry hopefuls through our internship program.”
In addition to its recent promotions, Big Picture Media is proud to announce the addition of seasoned Los Angeles–based publicist Liz Wiltshire. Liz joins the company after three years at The Oriel Company, where she worked on projects for artists including Hot Mulligan, Finn Wolfhard, Barry Can’t Swim, Katie Gavin of MUNA, and more. Liz will be looking after our West Coast based clients. She will join forces with publicists Samantha LaPare and Kerri-Ann Seredinsky, both of whom bring their own invaluable expertise, creativity and passion to BPM’s growing team.
Over the past 18 years, Big Picture Media has represented an impressive and diverse roster that includes Sum 41, Warped Tour, 311, All Time Low, Hans Zimmer, Naughty By Nature, Matisyahu, Peter Gabriel, Sheppard, Thrice, The Eagles, Lissie, The Band CAMINO, Keltie Knight, John Williams AWOLNATION, Polyphia, Bullet For My Valentine, and more. The firm has also expanded into events, lifestyle, and branded content with clients like The Village Voice, Central Park SummerStage, Emo Nite, The Lineup, New York Coffee Festival, Throne Watches, Sail Away Coffee, Bushwick Film Festival, When We Were Young and the NYC Independent Film Festival.
As Big Picture Media continues to evolve and expand its reach, these promotions represent an exciting new chapter in the agency’s journey.
