Bionic Buzz® covered Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort. It’s the most magical time of the year—football is back, spooky season is here, and Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights 2025 has officially delivered one of its best years ever. With jaw-dropping sets, incredible scare actors, and nonstop thrills and chills, this year’s lineup of haunted houses and scare zones raises the bar yet again.

While every haunted house is worth experiencing, we know time can be tight, so here are our Top 5 Haunted Houses of the year:

5. Dolls: Let’s Play Dead
Few things are creepier than life-sized dolls, and this house leaned all the way into that fear. Between the eerie music box soundtrack, unsettling sets, and scare actors dressed as dolls leaping out from every corner, this one had us on edge from start to finish.

4. Five Nights at Freddy’s
Straight from the hit movie and video game franchise, this maze stunned with its massive animatronics and detailed sets. Even if you’re not familiar with the franchise, the atmosphere and scares make it unforgettable.

3. Terrifier
Art the Clown is here, and yes—this house absolutely lives up to the hype. With twisted sets, creepy encounters, and the option to take the “wet path” (refreshing on a hot Florida night!), Terrifier balances gruesome fun with immersive design.

2. Jason Universe
Jason Voorhees stalks his way back into HHN with a maze packed full of moments from the classic Friday the 13th films. The highlight? A seemingly endless hallway filled with relentless jump scares that had us gripping each other tighter with every step.

1. Grave of Flesh
An original house takes the crown this year! Grave of Flesh showcased some of the most impressive set design we’ve ever seen at HHN, with massive environments that made us feel like we were walking into the very depths of a cursed graveyard. The scare actors were outstanding, delivering nightmare-fuel performances that made this house unforgettable.

⭐ Scare Zone Highlights

Of course, HHN isn’t just about the houses—the scare zones are an essential part of the experience, and this year’s lineup didn’t disappoint:

Masquerade: Dance with Death: Bloodthirsty vampires in elegant masquerade attire stalked the streets, their ornate outfits and menacing presence making this scare zone both stylish and sinister.

The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane: With a chilling backstory about children being transformed into cats, this zone delivered creepy costumes, unsettling performances, and a truly terrifying Cat Lady at its center.
