Bionic Buzz® got to interview comic book writer & creator Gabe Cheng over zoom. We talked about where his passion for comic book writing came from, his comic book series FOR MOLLY and his new kickstarter for comic book series LOVE AT FIRST BITE. It is a darkly comedic and uninhibited parody of modern dating with a vampire twist. Written by Gabe Cheng and illustrated by Elisa Meneghel entirely during the COVID19 lockdown, this nine page one-shot is packed with humor, heart, and an army of pint-sized vampire imps.

STORY: A capricious young woman named Alina tries to get back at her ex-boyfriend by becoming a vampire and rubbing his face in it. We’ve all been there, am I right? Alina starts off with a thirst for revenge, but ends up learning the hard way that holding a grudge is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.
