Season 14 Synopsis: After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane.

Series Synopsis: Set in the fictional Arlen, Texas, the original series followed the life of Hank Hill, an enthusiastic seller of propane and propane accessories; his wife, Peggy, local Boggle champ and substitute teacher; and their son, Bobby, who defied any expectation his father had for a son. Hank’s friends – conspiracy theorist Dale, military barber Bill, and cool but inarticulate Boomhauer, along with Peggy’s friends Minh and meteorologist Nancy, and Bobby’s friend Connie helped the Hills navigate a changing world.

King of the Hill Activation at San Diego Comic-Con 2025
The King of the Hill activation at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 transported fans straight to Arlen, Texas with an immersive and hilarious experience that celebrated the beloved animated series in all the right ways.
From the moment you walked in, it felt like you were stepping into Hank Hill’s backyard. There were interactive games like a cowboy boot ring toss, where winners scored exclusive King of the Hill aprons. One of the highlights was a station where guests could customize a free King of the Hill hat with a patch of their choice—perfect for showing off your fandom in style.
Attendees were treated to cold cans of water cleverly designed to look like Alamo beer from the show, a fun nod to longtime fans. The activation also served up free BBQ, complete with mac and cheese and coleslaw—because what’s a Texas gathering without great food?
With plenty of photo ops scattered throughout the space and a welcoming, fun atmosphere, this activation stood out as one of the most creative and satisfying experiences of SDCC 2025. It was a true celebration of the series that had fans saying, “Yup!” with a smile.
