Bionic Buzz® covered the red carpet of the 11th Annual Hollywood Beauty Awards (HBAs) at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood, CA. Founded by Michele Elyzabeth, the evening blended heartfelt tributes, industry celebration, and unexpected moments that brought the room to its feet. Under this year’s theme, “The Beauty of Spring ~ La Beauté du Printemps,” the black-tie ceremony honored the artists shaping beauty across film, 

television, music, red carpets, and editorial, while continuing its philanthropic partnership with Helen Woodward Animal Center.

Featuring red carpet interviews with Acacia McBride (Model & co-founded Micah’s Walk for Autism), Angela Levine (Celebrity Makeup Artist), Bogdan Szumilas (producer, philanthropist, and actor), Bonnie Clevering (Celebrity Makeup Artist), Chaz Deen (Created WEN Hair & Body Care Colorist & Hairstylist), Colleen Atwood (Costume Designer), Constance Marie (Actress from George Lopez and A Man on the Inside), Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (Actor from The Jacksons: An American Dream & Roots), George Blodwell (Costume Designer), Grant Ellis (former professional basketball player & The Bachelor), JD Slajchert (Author & Emmy Nominee), Marcus Francis (Hairstylist), Pamela Price (Senior Executive Producer of the Hollywood Beauty Awards), Otis Stokes (Music Producer of the Hollywood Beauty Awards), Robert L. The night opened with energy as 2026 HBA Ambassador Clayton Hawkins (HBA Hairstyling Award winner) took the stage, setting the tone with a lively monologue before returning for a standout moment featuring one of his signature wigs alongside Jessi Draper (Founder of JZ Styles, star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives) presenting the BC Hairstyling Award.

A standing ovation marked the career tribute of Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling to Robert L. Stevenson, presented by Terrence Howard(Academy Award®-nominated actor) and Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (NAACP Image Award-nominated actor), honoring a groundbreaking career and legacy.

Tim Allen (Golden Globe® Award-winning actor) presented Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling to Bonnie Clevering (Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences member), while Sebastian Maniscalco (record-breaking comedian) brought the room to laughter with a tribute to legendary photographer Peggy Sirota.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph (Academy Award®-winning actress) and Tai Simon (HBA-nominated celebrity hairstylist) honored Zabrina Matiru(NAACP Image Award nominee) with Outstanding Achievement in Makeup.

Jeremy Allen White (Golden Globe® and Emmy® Award-winning actor) presented Groomer of the Year, celebrating top industry talent including Amy Komorowski, Sonia Lee, and KC Fee, with KC Fee taking home the award.

Jimmy Smits (Golden Globe® and Emmy® Award-winning actor) and Constance Marie (actress, A Man on the Inside) presented Outstanding Achievement in SFX Makeup to Ken Diaz (2x Academy Award® nominee, Emmy® winner).

Academy Award®-nominated makeup artist Donald Mowat (2025 HBA Ambassador) presented Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design to Colleen Atwood (4x Academy Award® winner, 3x BAFTA winner, 2x Emmy® Award winner), honoring a creative collaboration spanning three decades.

Fragrance of the Year went to BVLGARI for Le Gemme Tygar Extrait, presented by Shohreh Aghdashloo (Academy Award®-nominated actress) and Maryam Lieberman (Beauty Editor, W Magazine), while YSL Beauty was named Brand of the Year, accepted by Acacia McBride (model & entrepreneur) and Grant Ellis (star of ABC’s The Bachelor).

The nominee categories brought both rising and established talent to the stage, introduced by a dynamic lineup of star presenters and past HBA winners/nominees. Jurnee Smollett (Emmy®-nominated actress) and Matthew Baron (2025 HBA Photography Award winner) presented the PS Photography Award, with Chelsea Lauren earning her first win after multiple nominations.

Mickey Guyton (4x GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer) and Roger Medina (celebrity hairstylist, Creative Director of Hairvivi) presented the RLS Hairstyling Award, awarded to Edith Donaldson.

Chaz Dean (celebrity hairstylist, founder of WEN®) and Ava Allen (actress), joined by Helen Woodward Animal Center rescue puppies, presented the CA Styling Award, won by Bradley Kenneth.

Ernesto Casillas (2025 HBA Makeup Award winner) and D’Andre Michael (HBA-nominated celebrity makeup artist) presented the ZM Makeup Award, awarded to Yeika Oliva, while Joanna Simkin (HBA-nominated celebrity makeup artist), Allan Avendaño (2024 HBA Makeup Award winner), and Anthony H. Nguyen (2023 HBA Makeup Award winner) presented the KD Makeup Award, won by Vincent Oquendo.

Each year the stars come out to support their glam teams. Emmy® Award-winning actress Niecy Nash attended in support of nominees Sharif Poston and Naima Jamal, who both earned their first HBA nominations.

Throughout the evening, signature HBA moments, from meaningful presenter connections to appearances alongside rescue animals, blended glamour with purpose, reinforcing the spirit of the awards. As in years past, past winners and nominees returned to the stage, creating a true celebration of the beauty community from within.
