Acclaimed director and cinematographer Gabriel Beristain has signed on to direct Golsa Enterprises Corp’s upcoming psychological feature thriller Mia: See Clearly.
“Gabriel brings to the film a rare combination of artistic courage and technical mastery. His incredible ability to capture emotional truth through the lens is extraordinary,” says Golsa Sarabi, founder Golsa Enterprises Corp.
Mia: See Clearly was created by Sarabi, Behnam Mokri, and Nicholas Charlsen, and co-written by Sarabi and Beristain. The story follows Mia (portrayed by Sarabi), a brilliant but disillusioned former intelligence operative, who becomes entangled in a vast surveillance conspiracy that blurs the line between reality and illusion.
Inspired by a true event that took place in Iran some forty years ago, Mia: See Clearly was born from the echoes of truth and silence that followed Iran’s revolution over four decades ago — a time when identity, freedom, and memory were rewritten overnight. While the story unfolds in a near-future world shaped by data and surveillance, its soul is rooted in the emotional aftermath of displacement — in the experience of women and artists who learned to hide clarity in metaphor. Mia’s struggle to reclaim her reflection mirrors that generation’s unspoken legacy: the cost of seeing too much in a world that demanded blindness.
The film marks Beristain’s second collaboration with Golsa Enterprises Corp, following his work as director on the short drama The Persian Rug, starring Golsa Sarabi, Sean Kanan, Shila Ommi, Tristan Cunningham, and Catherine Carlen.
“Working with Golsa and Golsa Enterprises again feels like a natural continuation of our creative dialogue,” comments Beristain. “Mia: See Clearly pushes boundaries both visually and emotionally, and I’m excited to bring that vision to life through cinematic storytelling.”
When Mia uncovers a domestic and global syndicate capable of manipulating perception itself, she’s forced back into the shadows she once escaped. Pursued across the neon-lit streets of Chicago, the decaying sprawl of Detroit, and the sun-drenched alleys of New Orleans, Mia races to expose the truth before its influence becomes absolute. Along the way, she faces her ultimate adversary: a digital doppelganger created from her own data—an AI mirror with all her knowledge, but none of her humanity. In a climactic confrontation, Mia must decide whether true clarity lies in what she sees—or what she lets go.
Additional casting announcements will be released soon. Pre-production is slated to begin in February 2026.
