Nashville-based rock duo Her Leather Jacket has unleashed their brooding new single “Death Train”, marking the band’s first release since 2024’s “Madness In My Mind”. The new track was produced by Aaron Gillespie (Underoath) and includes a guest feature from Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens), making for a visceral and compelling release from one of rock music’s most exciting new groups. “‘Death Train’ is a reflection of the chaos and trauma we all can carry—those heavy emotions that can make us feel misunderstood and alone,” the band shares. “But at the same time, it’s a story everyone can relate to. No matter what car you’re riding in on this train of life, we’re all headed to the same stop.”

Nashville-based rock band Her Leather Jacket is already making a name for themselves in the rock and alternative scene. Consisting of Manny Blu (vocals) and Wes Snyder (drums), their distinctive sound features a fusion of pop and alternative-rock elements, drawing inspiration from artists like Good Charlotte, Blink-182, and The All-American Rejects.
The duo released their debut self-titled EP in the fall 2023, embracing the band’s pop-punk influences in its four tracks. Their 2024 follow up EP, The House That Chaos Built, was produced by Underoath’s Aaron Gillespie and signaled the start of the band’s alt-rock “Fuck You” era.
Their most recent single, “Madness in My Mind”, notched placements on Apple Music’ “Breaking Hard Rock” and “New in Rock,” as well as Vevo’s “New Releases” and “Incoming Rock” playlists. Their work has been recognized by prominent publications, including: New Noise Magazine, Kill The Music, and antiMusic. They were named one of Music Connection Magazine’s “Top 25 New Music Critiques of 2024.”
