From a self-produced online animated series to a worldwide global phenomenon, Glitch Productions’ MURDER DRONES is now smashing records on Kickstarter! Pioneering independent animation powerhouse Glitch Productions and groundbreaking comics and graphic novel publisher Oni Press have brought their hugely successful Kickstarter campaign for MURDER DRONES: THE OFFICIAL GRAPHIC NOVEL to a close, raising $1.7 million from over 20,000 backers … and entering the annals of Kickstarter history as the fourth highest grossing and second most backed comic book campaign of all time on the platform.

Funded in under five minutes, this campaign offered up premium, limited-edition items, including slipcased hardcovers—from artists Austin Baechle (Nacelleverse), Andy Duggan (Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories), Moss Lawton (Star Trek: Prodigy), and more—apparel, highly exclusive variant covers, resin-cast prop replicas, and other new rewards for this six-issue comic book series. While the campaign has ended, late pledges are still available for Murder Drones and comic book fans. Fulfillment for the rewards will kick off in November 2026, and digital copies (which are free to everyone who backed a physical reward) will be available once the series is released to comic shops beginning in February 2026.

Adapted from series Liam Vickers’ haunting and hilarious adult animated series, comics writer Wyatt Kennedy (Nights, Marvel United) and illustrator Jo Mi-Gyeong(Eve, Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance) are bringing those visionary eight episodes to the page for Glitch’s first-ever English-language comics collaboration in the form of an all-new, can’t-miss 136-page hardcover graphic novel from Oni Press.

In the far future, a natural disaster has flash-frozen humanity’s remote mining exoplanet, Copper 9. Only now, the “worker drones”—built by humanity and eventually outlived by them—have to rebuild society from the frozen ashes . . . an endeavor complicated by the appearance of “disassembly drones,” vampiric robot counterparts hell-bent on wiping mechanical life from the planet and the unexpected emergence of an unsettling entity known as the “Absolute Solver.”

MURDER DRONES: THE OFFICIAL GRAPHIC NOVEL is just the latest successful Kickstarter campaigns from Oni Press, following CARBON BASED: THE ART OF LEWIS LaROSA, RICK AND MORTY 10th ANNIVERSARY DELUXE OMNIBUS LIBRARY, CULT OF THE LAMB: THE FIRST VERSE, and many more.
