The Power of Music Raising Awareness of Cancer Prevention and Early Detection The Team The Inspiration Acclaimed Czech musician Michal David, along with managers of the project and executive producers Ladislav Vajdicka and Braison Cyrus have embarked on a collaborative venture with a roster of international artists to reinvent David’s 1980s classic, “Oh What A Dream We Had.
” This song will not only raise awareness but also foster hope, reminding us that cancer is not unbeatable. Music has always brought people together, and this time, it can unite us in the fight against cancer. This song is personal for the David Family, a tribute to their beloved daughter Michelle, who died of leukemia at the age of nine. It evolved into the anthem for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, and the Dalmatian, Michelle’s beloved dog, became the logo and symbol for the cause.
The Prevent Cancer Foundation® is the only U.S.-based nonprofit organization solely dedicated to cancer prevention and early detection. The organization was founded in 1985 by Carolyn Aldigé in response to losing her father to cancer one year earlier. Its efforts in have changed the face of cancer.
