Bionic Buzz® got to attend MEGACON at the Orange Country Convention Center in Orlando, FL. MEGACON Orlando is one of North America’s largest largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event that attracts hundreds of thousands of people across four BIG days. Every year, MEGACON Orlando offers exciting family-friendly attractions, events, and world-renowned Celebrities!

At the con we got to interview Richard Goldstein the director of fundraising for Variety The Children’s Charity of Florida and learn about their pins that you can purchase to help support the charity.

Keeping “Kids on the Go”! At Variety The Children’s Charity of Florida, they strive to help children with special needs as well as those who are less fortunate in their upbringing so that they can have equal opportunities to experience life, build confidence and have interaction with their peers.

Variety Orlando (Tent 70) was founded in 1989, by Donna Draves and Connie Ginakes for the purpose of helping the “under privileged” children of Central Florida. Donna and Connie worked to grow an organization of all volunteers who understood the great feeling that helping a child gives you. In November 2008, the Orlando board of directors, with the approval of US Variety, voted to expand its area to encompass the state of Florida.
