Paley Front Row Series is Part of Paley@Home Presented by Citi
The Paley Center for Media today announced new selections to its Paley Front Row series: Hulu’s Ramy: A Conversation with the Stars; TNT’s Snowpiercer: Special Fan Q & A Edition; Conversations in Pride: Greg Berlanti, Storyteller; Girls Trip & First Wives Club: A Conversation with Creative Powerhouse Tracy Oliver; and rounding out the new offerings will be NBC’s The Tonight Show: A Conversation with Jimmy Fallon. All programs will be available for view on the Paley Center’s YouTube channel. Paley Front Row is part of Paley@Home Presented by Citi, a new way to enjoy the behind-the-scenes stories of today’s top shows from the comfort of home.

Hulu’s Ramy: A Conversation with the Stars

Created by comedian Ramy Youssef, with Ari Katcher and Ryan Welch, Ramy sets out to smash stereotypes by presenting fully rounded depictions of American Muslims, with Youssef portraying a first generation Egyptian-American on a spiritual quest to find the comfortable balance between following his faith and exploring certain pleasures offered by the millennial generation. The critically acclaimed series gained even greater attention when Youssef became the winner of this year’s Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy. Youssef will be joined in conversation with cast members May Calamawy (Dena Hassan), Laith Nakil (Uncle Naseem), and Steve Way (Steve).
TNT’s Snowpiercer: Special Fan Q & A Edition

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland,Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a perpetually moving train, where class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival play out. Girls Trip & First Wives Club: A Conversation with Creative Powerhouse Tracy Oliver

Multihyphenate writer/producer/actor Tracy Oliver is currently executive producing and showrunning two series she created: The First Wives Club on Bet Plus, as well as an upcoming Amazon half-hour series starring Meagan Good and Grace Byers.
Well known as a writer for the hit movie Girls Trip, Tracy became the first African-American female screenwriter to write a movie that grossed more than 100 million in the global box office. In addition, she wrote the screenplay adaptation of the Warner Brothers movie, The Sun Is Also A Star, starring Yara Shahidi, as well as Little starring Marsai Martin and Regina Hall. Through her production company, Tracy Yvonne Productions, Oliver has several projects in active development at various networks and studios, as well as a partnership with BET on Project Cre8, an initiative to mentor and develop fresh, new voices in the comedy space. Grace Byers and Megan Good will join Ms. Oliver in the conversation.

During this time of great uncertainty, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon quickly evolved into a new way of working, entertaining viewers with the same fun and energy they’ve come to expect every night–all while broadcasting from Jimmy’s home. Within days of Studio 6B shutting its doors in March and stay-at-home orders going into effect, Jimmy and The Tonight Showquickly adapted to the situation, airing new shows with the hope of providing their audience with laughs and some semblance of normalcy to a very new normal. What ensued was The Tonight Show: At Home Edition–a heartwarming and completely authentic look into Fallon’s world outside of hosting The Tonight Show from 30 Rock.
The At Home Edition, which started on YouTube before soon returning to its home on NBC, quickly became a phenomenon, consistently ranking as the number one most-viewed late night program on YouTube. Jimmy was the first late night host to bring the show back daily and became a source of comfort for his viewers during this time, as well as raised millions for the different charities spotlighted each night. And while continuing with trademark bits like “Thank You Notes” and “Classroom Instruments,” the new At Home Edition has allowed viewers to see a side of Jimmy not often seen: his family. Jimmy’s wife Nancy and their two daughters have made memorable appearances on the show, getting in on the fun and delighting millions on a nightly basis.
Jimmy Fallon will speak with Paula Pell, who was a writer at Saturday Night Live for twenty years where she brought to life some of the most famous sketches of all time, and will next be seen starring in Mapleworth Murders, a comedy series for Quibi that she created and cowrote. Jimmy and Paula will discuss what it has been like for Jimmy to transform the venerable late night institutionThe Tonight Show into an at home format, working together on Saturday Night Live, writing for comedy, and more.
