Today, the fast-rising Irish pop-rock band Walking On Cars shared a music video for their song “Too Emotional” taken from the band’s latest album Colours.

Filmed during the group’s sold out stadium show at Cork’s Irish Independent Park this June, the video shows the band at their best, in front of an ecstatic home crowd. The song itself takes on an upbeat edge with a massive chorus that captures the feeling of being tongue-tied when trying to express your emotions to someone.

The band released their sophomore album Colours earlier this year – kaleidoscopically rich with sounds, emotions, synth-rock imagination and the brilliant songwriting synonymous with the band’s previous releases. Walking On Cars will embark on a string of international tour dates including their first ever headline shows in Australia, New Zealand and Russia this November and December. Formed in 2010 by childhood friends Patrick Sheehy (vocals), Sorcha Durham (keyboards), Paul Flannery (bass) and Evan Hadnett (drums), Walking On Cars realized they were on to something with the release of their debut EP, As We Fly South. Having released the EP independently, the band’s first single “Catch Me If You Can” quickly caught on landing at No.27 on the Irish Charts. Paired with a heavy touring schedule, the band began to grab the attention of labels and signed to Virgin EMI, releasing their debut album Everything This Way in January 2016. The album went on to sell a hefty 325,000 copies worldwide with leading single “Speeding Cars” quickly blowing up and currently sitting at over 60 million plays on Spotify alone. Over 18 months of touring they sold 100,000 gig tickets, reaching arena level in Ireland and selling out tours across Europe, as well as hitting the mains stages of some of the biggest festivals out there, including Isle of Wight, Rock Werchter, Rock Am Ring and Electric Picnic in 2018. After a few struggles caused setbacks in the writing process, they’ve come out stronger, and ready to attack 2019 with a new album and new lease of life. The result is Colours, an ambitious nine-track album that takes Walking On Cars out of their comfort zone and into a more experimental route, proving to themselves and their fans that anything is possible.
