Bionic Buzz® got to interview MCU Visual Development Producer & Director / Writer of the horror film Dreamcatcher, Jacob Johnston. We talked to him about his days working at Marvel Studios in which he was a visual development producer for many of their films, how small Marvel Studios was when he was first hired, how his concept art helps the filmmakers on set, and being the author of many of the Marvel Studios Movie Art Books.

We asked him where his passion for storytelling, art and filmmaking came from and how it lead him to write & direct his new horror film Dreamcatcher. The film centers on two estranged sisters who, along with their friends, become entrenched in a 48 hour whirlwind of violence after a traumatic experience at an underground music festival. We talked to Jacob about the amazing mask that DJ Dreamcatcher wears in the film, the film’s journey and a possible film sound track down the road.

Dreamcatcher has ranked in the Top 20 movies to stream this winter by Newsday and USA Today. The sleek new horror/thriller is coming to On-Demand & Digital in March 5th, 2021. The film is distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films.
