Marvel teamed up with the The Great Company and The Science & Entertainment Exchange for the Science of the Marvel Cinematic Universe event. It had a convention / after party type feel to it with free drinks, food available to purchase at food trucks, photo booths, panels & movie props. As someone who is very passionate about Marvel & conventions, this was one of the most unique and amazing events I have ever been to and hope for more of them. By @SteveSievers

They broke the event into three areas with each one cleverly named after an Infinity Stone. After you walked through an impressive entrance with your wooden Stark Industry lanyard you were in the space area. The space area was just an alley behind the Great Company building in downtown LA. They had a photo booth that made a gif of you with the event title thanks to Honor. Also there was a video photo booth by VNTANA which makes a video of yourself with Doctor Strange Cloak of Levitation Hologram on you. You can check out video below of mine. There was free beer, wine, & water in the back and the alley was lined up with food trucks that you can order food. However the lines were very long, I wish they had more food trucks but since it was alley there wasn’t anymore room.

Inside The Great Company was called the power area. Where people “actors” that worked for Stark Industries gave you a tour of the movie props as the Hall of Heroes. All the actors were in character inside the MCU which was fun to interactive with them. Watch video below of the whole tour of it, including where we meet a robot named Pepper.

In the outdoor area what was called the Reality area had an impressive stage with protections on even the walls around the stage. Defly gave you a 360 degree feel which was awesome. There were plenty of panels with photos & video presentations. Focus on the science behind the Marvel films with six total panels. Here is the full list: Seti: An Alternate Reality by Jill Tarter, Science of Super by Alicia Jackson, Science of the MCU  Moderated by Jon Spaihts, featuring Jaime Waydo, Preston Dyches, Ricardo Gil-da-Costa, and Jessica Cail (this one was my favorite because everyone was in “character” in MCU. See video of the full panel below)

Consulting for Doctor Strange by Adam Frank, and Science of Strange – Moderated by Felicia Day, featuring Stephen Broussard, Adam Frank, Luis Garza, Jon Spaihts, and A. Bolu Ajiboye. After that they showed an exclusive footage of Doctor Strange which turned out to be the same footage they show at Disney California Adventure. Still it was cool to see again with other MCU fans.

Since Doctor Strange was coming out soon in theaters, it was the main focus of the event. Was cool to meet and talk briefly with two people who actually worked on the film. Here is myself with Jon Spaihts (co-writer of Doctor Strange)

Also at the event was Stephen Broussard who worked on Doctor Strange as an executive producer. He has also worked on Iron Man 3, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Incredible Hulk, and the Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King. Speaking of, I wish Marvel would bring by the One-Shots. He is also will be producering the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp. You can check more photos below from the event.
